Marrakech Desert Tour

We offer two-day and three-day trips to the desert. The two-day trip takes you from Marrakech to Zagora desert. The three-day trip takes you from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara Desert.

Marrakech – Zagora: We leave Marrakech early in the morning, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka on our way to the Atlas Mountains with amazing berber villages. We then continue to Ouarzazate, an oasis town on the edge of the desert where we’ll have lunch. Afterwards, we continue to Zagora, where we’ll ride the camels through the desert, where we’ll have a Berber tagine and sleep in Berber tent in our camp around a campfire.

Zagora desert – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech: Early start to check out the sunrise as we ride the camels back after the breakfast to your driver and back to visit Ait Be Haddkou Kasbah. We’ll go to the Draa Valley with its amazing ksours and date palms. Ait Ben Haddou, is a beautiful kasbah, often used as a movie location for Hollywood blockbusters like Gladiator starring Russel Crowe. We have lunch here before making the drive back over the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and back to Marrakech.


Pick you up at the hostel and departure from Marrakech at 8:00 a.m. to the Dades Valley via Tizin’tichka pass crossing landscapes of the high Atlas Mountains, which peaks at 2260m then Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah; considered as a world heritage and a famous movie set. Then to the city of roses, Boumalen Dades famous by its Dades Valley.

Departure from Dades Valley 8:00 a.m to Merzouga via Tinerhir, then we will have the opportunity to visit Todgha gorges. From there to the palm trees oasis of Tinejdad and Touroug. Erfoud with the natural fossils places and night at the Merzouga Sand Dunes where we will ride the camels, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner with live music. In the morning we’ll ride the camel’s back to have breakfast in the hotel.

Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech: 11 hours driving. Back to Ouarzazte by visiting Risani as an old city with its famous 350 old kasbahs. We will get to Ouarazate via the Ait Sawne landscapes, then Marrakech via the high Atlas enjoying with the amazing landscape and berbers villages.
